"Sophie helped me dig deeper into why I started my business and now it feels bigger."

I was making wax melts under a different name when I met Sophie, and although I loved what I was doing, I wasn't getting the results I wanted. I didn't know what I should be posting on social media, who my audience really was, or how to make my business stand out. I felt completely stuck.

After speaking with Sophie, she helped me realise that the person I was making my products for was actually quite far removed from who I am now. Since becoming a mum, my life and priorities have changed so much, and I was finding it difficult to genuinely relate to the customers I was trying to reach.

Sophie encouraged me to dig deeper into myself and my own experiences, and that's when everything started to click.

I realised that I could take my love of wax melts and fragrance and give it a completely new purpose - creating products specifically for overstimulated mums. Whether it's a few minutes of grounding peace on a chaotic day, an uplifting scent to bring some energy to a tired morning, or something calming to help you unwind.

Having a young child myself, I understand how easy it is to lose yourself in motherhood. You're a mum, wife, cleaner, cook, organiser and, for many of us, you're working a paid job too. Somewhere along the way, it can become very easy to put yourself last and lose sight of who you are outside of all those roles.

For me, fragrance has become a small way of finding pieces of myself again, and I want to help other mums do the same.

From wax melts to starting a community.

When I first started speaking with Sophie, I thought we were simply going to talk about my wax melts and how I could run my business better. I didn't expect those conversations to lead me to something that felt so much bigger.

The Overstimulated Mums Club now feels like it it's much more than a home fragrance business. I want to create bath and body products that give mums the chance to properly pamper themselves, but more importantly, I want to build a community.

A place where mums like me can connect, laugh at ourselves through the difficult moments, share advice and remind each other that we're not alone.

Motherhood can be incredibly lonely. There's the loss of friendships, mum guilt, drowning in washing and housework, the changing relationship with your partner, feeling like you've lost your identity, and all the other things nobody prepares you for.

Sophie helped me realise that I didn't need to force myself to fit into the business I had already created. I could build something around who I am now, and turn my own experiences into something that could  help other people.

I'm at the beginning of this journey, but for the first time, I feel like I know what my business is for, and I'm excited about where it could go.
