Martha Kilner is the founder of Any Other Business (AOB), which offers business operations and AI Education supporting founders in the education, impact and creative sectors.
After 19 years in primary teaching (with an IT specialism she never expected to use so much) and a stint in EdTech, Martha was made redundant twice in six months in late 2023 - so she started her own business instead.
Within weeks she was fully booked, and AOB has grown from task-based VA support into her signature offer, The Smooth Operator Method, helping established founders go from a messy backend to a smooth operator.
"I'm excited to be on the MUMentum panel because there's nothing better than a room full of mums building businesses and swapping honest stories - I always leave those conversations with new friends and better ideas than I arrived with."
The name isn't corporate jargon either - it's her three children's initials (A, O and B), which felt fitting for a business built around client work, parenting and the beautiful chaos of running both at once.
Martha lives in Highams Park, East London, and does her best thinking on a morning walk.
