We reached out on social media for a charity partner and that it was important for our chosen charity to align with my passion of supporting mums.

Bekah Anstey, Senior Corporate Partnership Manager at Weston Park Cancer Charity, responded to our call out and shared some of the amazing stories about how the charity have supported mums through their cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Based in Sheffield, Weston Park Cancer Charity cares for patients and their families across the wider region of south Yorkshire and Derbyshire.

One in two of us will face cancer at some point in our lives. Directly or indirectly, we can all expect cancer to change everything for us one day, and when it does, Weston Park Cancer Charity is here to change everything too.

Its services, advice, therapies and support centre are for patients and the family and friends close to them, helping everyone affected to live with and beyond cancer. The funds they raise also support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre.

The charity aims to care in every sense for patients and family members, with them at every step, for free. Sophie said,

"It was important for us to choose a local charity that supports mums in some way as that is the heart of what MUMentum® is all about."

Sophie Harris, Founder of MUMentum and her Marketing Lead, Jen White, visited Bekah at the charity and had a tour of the facilities and heard all about the incredible support services and research Weston Park Cancer Charity provide.

Both Sophie and Jen have known many who have received support from the charity and felt the partnership was meant to be.

The MUMentum event will help fundraise for the charity during the evening celebration, where proceeds of the charity raffle will go towards funding their cause.  Generous businesses have donated prizes for the raffle, including a nights stay from Casa Hotel, Chesterfield (the event venue).

Volunteers will hold a stand at the event, where attendees can learn more about the charity and buy raffle tickets.

Bekah Anstey, Senior Corporate Partnership Manager at Weston Park Cancer Charity said,

"We’re incredibly grateful to Sophie and everyone taking part in MUMentum 2026 for supporting our work and helping us be there for families across our region."

You can also support the charity by donating to the MUMentum fundraising page here.
